Dear Wellness Journal,
Recently I went to Oprah's live show, an icon in here own right. What stayed with me long after it ended was her care to share her personal stories on trusting your inner voice that guides you towards your highest purpose.
Her message life works best when you listen to it. Here are a some key moments:
Doubt means don’t. That line really stopped me. Doubt isn’t always fear, it can be intuition trying to protect or redirect you. Learning when to pause instead of pushing through can save you from choices that don’t align with who you’re becoming.
You’ll know when the time is right. Whether it’s making a change, quitting the job, starting over, or saying yes to a new adventure, you’ll know. It won’t always make sense on paper, and it may feel uncomfortable, but clarity has a way of settling in quietly. Trust that inner knowing. When it’s time, your gut won’t stop nudging you.
Life is better when you share it. Joy, success, pain, and growth aren’t meant to be carried alone. Sharing doesn’t weaken experiences it deepens them. Connection reminds us that we’re not meant to do life solo.
When people show you who they are, believe them. This is a hard but necessary truth. We often see potential instead of patterns. But believing what you’re shown, without excuses, is an act of self-respect and clarity.
Legacy isn’t one thing, it’s every life you’ve ever touched.
Legacy isn’t reserved for the famous. It’s built in small, everyday moments: the encouragement you gave, the kindness you showed, paying it forward, the way you made someone feel seen. That impact lasts longer than any title ever will.
Share your story, someone might need to hear it.
You may think your story isn’t important, but someone else is walking a road you’ve already travelled. Your honesty could be the reminder they need that they’re not alone, and that things can get better.
Trust your gut. Your intuition is shaped by experience and awareness. It doesn’t shout; it whispers. The more you listen, the stronger it becomes.
People always remember how you make them feel.
At the end of the day, this is what remains. Not what you owned or achieved, but how you treated others, how you showed up, and how you made people feel in your presence.
These lessons aren’t about perfection. They’re about awareness. About listening, trusting, sharing, and living with intention. And maybe that’s the real takeaway, learning to honour the quiet inner voice that always seems to know the way.
Oprah reminds us that the most powerful guide we have is our inner voice, and when we trust it, we create a life rooted in truth, purpose, and connection.
Love you, love me x
